Hurricane Projections based on advertiser needs?

reason I used to think you were smart, maybe you used to be, but smoking so many dicks has fried your brain. I didn't say St Pete Times "created" that projection. But of all the projections to print they chose the one that makes it look as though Tampa Bay is directly threatened by the storm. I guess you would know more about the local media here in Tampa Bay than I would since you contaminate the area with your presence every few years and I only live here full time. But you know everything don't you? Arrogant poltroon.

Accuweather serves 15,000 clients worldwide. The St Pete Times is hardly unique with regards to the use of their services.

And I must reiterate, the chart indicates a wide range of probabilities, not just St. Pete as the target. And you cannot discount from the wide range of probabilities that St. Pete is definitely in the mix - in both graphs you presented.

I would argue that even with the dotted red lines, the two charts have become more similar over the past couple days, with NOAA's coming more in line with Accuweather's.

Just watched a little bit of something about this on tv. They showed the ddifeerent forecasts and explained the "cones" again as to how difficult it is to pipoint thses storms. But, these are so far apart it does make you wonder a little.
